Spend the Holiday Weekend in Vegas

vegas2Memorial Day is fast approaching and if you have planned to spend it in Vegas then you picked a great time. There are a few great shows happening during the entire Memorial Day weekend. Just don’t forget your sunscreen and light clothes; it is already hitting 101 degrees out here!

Comedian Carlos Mencia, who you may know from his show Mind of Mencia on Comedy Central will be performing at The Palms casino and Resort in the Pearl theater. He has two shows scheduled on May 24 at 7:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $58 and $78 and are still available.

Even more exciting, Emmy-award-winning comedian Jay Leno will be here. He has several dates scheduled throughout the summer but some are all ready sold out. He will perform his standup at The Danny Gans Theater in the Mirage Hotel and Casino. I’ve been told that you are almost guaranteed to see a few celebrities taking in this show. He will be performing his two-plus-hour show on May 24 and 25 at 9:00 p.m., tickets are $100. Seats are still available for the May 25 performance.

Last but certainly not least, David Spade will be giving out some of that witty, somewhat sharp tone of humor that his fans love. Famous for staring in such shows as Just Shoot Me and Saturday Night Live, David Spade is a sure sellout at the Planet Hollywood-Stomp Out Loud Showroom. He will also be performing his shows on May 24 and 25 at 10:00 p.m., tickets are $99.00. There is a great Q & A on Vegas.com with David talking about his future plans with Las Vegas.

All in all, Memorial weekend is a great time to hit Sin City and see all the once-in-a-life-time or just once-and-a-while shows. Of course, all the normal production shows will continue to perform so there will be plenty to see and do indoors away from the heat. Hope to see you there.

See you next week!
